We are a fast-paced Agritech startup working on IoT, machine learning-based risk mitigation solutions for agriculture. Using real-time farm data coming from IoT device, we help farmers take on-farm decisions in irrigation, sprays for disease, pests and fertigation.
We are focused on horticulture crops and working on increasing production quality and quantity at a lower cost of cultivation.
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manual QA/Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in testing web applications and mobile applications. As a Manual QA/Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through meticulous testing and analysis. You will work closely with our development and product teams to identify, report, and resolve issues to deliver a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Design:
Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and specifications.
Review and analyze requirement documents to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
Test Execution:
Conduct thorough testing of web and mobile applications, including functional, regression, usability, and performance testing.
Identify, document, and track bugs using appropriate tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Perform retesting and regression testing after fixes and updates.
Collaboration:
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely feedback.
Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Reporting:
Create detailed test reports and documentation, summarizing findings, test coverage, and quality metrics.
Communicate test results and findings to the development team and management.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements in testing practices.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in QA and testing.
Qualifications:
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in manual testing of web applications and mobile applications.
Proven experience in creating and executing test cases and test scripts.
Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
Skills:
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to testing.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with various testing techniques (e.g., functional, regression, usability, performance).
Basic knowledge of automation testing tools and scripting is a plus.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience in testing applications across multiple browsers and devices.
Understanding of basic network concepts and API testing.
