Edstem Technologies is Looking for:
QA Lead with Automation Expertise in Playwright
Role/Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Coordination: Lead daily QA standups and other key project meetings to ensure alignment on project goals, testing priorities, and status updates.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to refine requirements and establish clear quality expectations.
- Automation Strategy Development: Define and implement automation strategies that maximize test coverage for critical system features and functions.
- Test Planning and Review: Oversee the creation and maintenance of automated tests using
- Playwright, TypeScript, and JavaScript, ensuring that all test plans and cases meet quality standards.
- Documentation and Reporting: Manage comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and bug reports in Jira. Generate quality assurance reports and communicate results and insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Quality Control: Conduct root cause analysis for issues, lead efforts in identifying and addressing
- quality risks, and continuously refining the QA process.
- Team Mentorship and Development: Mentor and guide QA team members, providing support and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Regression and Release Readiness: Coordinate and conduct regular regression testing and sign-off processes to ensure release readiness and system stability.
Requirement:
- Experience: 5+ years in web automation testing, with a strong focus on automation strategy and QA leadership.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading QA teams, developing QA processes, and driving
- automation initiatives.
Automation and Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Playwright, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Experience with API testing, SQL, and relational databases.
- Familiarity with CI tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub) and version control systems.
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and DOM manipulation.
- Experience with Azure, Jira, and Confluence for project management and documentation.
- Networking and Infrastructure Knowledge: Basic understanding of network infrastructure and monitoring tools (e.g., SNMP, ICMP, Cisco).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Selenium) and any object-oriented programming language (OOP). Performance testing experience is a plus.
