About Role:
- Responsible for designing, implementing, and coordinating testing activities for windows-based and web-based applications used by US taxation professionals.
- Develop and execute detailed, comprehensive test plans and test cases in Jira/Azure DevOps, ensuring product quality through exploratory and automated tests.
- Actively participate in all Scrum/Agile ceremonies, including Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Story Grooming, Review, and Retrospection.
- Create test artifacts such as test cases, traceability matrices, and defect reports, and manage the entire defect lifecycle.
- Work closely with internal teams to identify testing requirements and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality work.
- Design and develop automation scripts, with a focus on in-sprint automation and API testing.
- Prepare test data, ensuring it aligns with comprehensive Test Acceptance criteria, and document all processes with clear evidence and updates.
- Engage in problem-solving and troubleshooting, representing end-user concerns, and maintaining communication with all stakeholders to ensure user satisfaction.
About You:
- Possess 2-6 years of professional experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, with a strong background in Agile environments and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience, with a preference for Technical Graduates (B.E., B. Tech, MTech, M.Sc. in Computer Science).
- Demonstrated expertise in test automation tools such as WebDriver IO and Selenium, and experience in API test automation.
- Proficient in SQL with the ability to write queries against relational databases like SQL Server.
- Familiar with version control systems (GIT), and experience with cloud platforms (Azure & AWS) is a plus.
- Knowledgeable in various test methodologies, including Unit, Smoke, Sanity, Integration, System, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Strong analytical skills to develop test plans and cases and provide well-documented feedback.
- Basic knowledge of .NET/C#, JavaScript, Agile, DevOps, and test management tools like Jira/ Azure DevOps.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of handling multiple projects with minimal supervision, and a passion for solving challenges and continuous improvement.
- Advantageous to have knowledge of the US Tax domain.
