Lenovo is seeking a QA Engineer who will play a key role on our TruScale Platform Quality Team, in support of development and operation of TruScale IaaS service offerings.
The chosen candidate will be part of the Lenovo Solutions & Services Group (SSG) as a member of the R&D team, which is driving service offering design and definition for our Professional Services, Managed Services, and TruScale Services businesses.
This role is primarily internal, but may include some partner facing work.
This role is primarily remote.
This role will report to the Director of the TruScale Platform.
Key responsibilities include:
As part of the Quality Team, you will be involved in end to end testing of the TruScale Platform in a multi-stage environment in advance of release into the production environment (Dev, Test, UAT, Pre-Prod).
Working with the Test Lead in the building, maintenance, and enhancement of automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks such as python and Selenium
You will also be involved in ongoing non-invasive testing of our production environment, ensuring operational quality for our TruScale customers.
Grooming of test plan and code defect issues in Jira
Participate in execution of test cases and results reporting
Presentation delivery in support of test plans, test status, and results documentation
You will be part of a multi-national team, and will have exposure to the following:
Agile development process and tools
Hybrid cloud as-a-service offerings
A major business unit in startup-mode inside a large corporation
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience requiredStudy or experience focused on one of the following or equivalent:
quality engineering
quality systems
systems monitoring
computer systems management
Ability to clearly articulate ideas, such as current state and optimal state of a given system
Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Java tools preferred
