We're looking for a Test Engineer to:
- support the IT sales area of a leading asset manager to evolve to the next level and shape the end user experience
- think strategically and work in an offshore project team and collaborate with internal experts and keep your colleagues, business partners, stakeholder and counterparts up to date
- enable & drive a culture of automation-first and perform in-sprint automation testing and build a regression test suite. create and maintain automation scripts and enhance existing scripts
- hands on with test and defect management life-cycle
- hands on with automated & manual testing methods for conducting multilayers testing of desktop, web applications, data services, micro services, database, etl, cloud service based application, middleware and os.
- comprehensive analysis of any errors found using logs, database queries, legacy and unix file system, etc.
- generate test reports and status to be shared across multiple levels
- collaborate with BAs, PMs and developers to troubleshoot issues and assist key business end-users in user acceptance testing
Your team
We are supportive for our employees to work flexible working hours as well as working remotely from home.
You'll be working in the Asset Management Technology team in Pune. The project team is located In Switzerland and India. Our clients and users are distributed globally. The Managing Clients & Insights Crew offer global IT solutions for Asset Management.
Your expertise
- 6+ years experience in it software testing with understanding of modern web & legacy desktop technologies
preferably in a large and global financial or it organization
- automate business acceptance criteria through behavior driven development (bdd) using specification by example
- hands-on experience with web services, rest api testing
- hands-on experience in java programming language or any programming language (core java, python, c#)
- hands on working knowledge of test and defect management using tools alm (includes qc), jira (its various plugins) confluence, remedy, excel ( including macros)
- hands on experience with non-functional test automation concepts and patterns (e.g. availability, scalability, performance and security), performance testing ( jmeter, loadrunner) ,
- working knowledge of unix / linux environments to be able to read files etc.
- good knowledge of devops and cicd pipeline, using gitlab.
