Your Team Responsibilities
The team is hiring a junior system test engineer based in India (Mumbai/Pune/Bangalore/Coimbatore) who will be a part of MSCI's Enterprise Quality and Operations team. As part of this team, you will be responsible for developing tools that can be leveraged by support teams to answer client queries. To understand the tool requirements better, you will be initially supporting these client cases in manual fashion and then help automate those manual steps to build the tool. Additionally, you will be working closely with Business Analyst in your team to write automated tests to cover functionality. You will interact with multiple local and remote teams to understand requirements and the develop the tests accordingly.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Debugging client cases for ESG & C applications within MSCI One.
- Providing self-serving operational utilities to client-facing teams (IC, CS, TCS) to reduce the need for escalation to technical teams.
- Acting as a subject matter expert between engineering, SRE, TPM, and Data Operations during production incident resolution.
- Enhancing test automation by adding client escalation use cases to the regression test suite.
- Collaborating with the Business Analyst to identify key use cases for test automation for new features/enhancements in the Data Provision applications.
- Work with test framework team to understand test frameworks and leveraging it to add new for applications
- Maintenance of regression tests suits & enhancing it with every release.
Your Skills And Experience That Will Help You Excel
- 2-3 year of experience in Test automation development.
- Excellent programming and debugging skills, with good understanding of test automation tools and libraries such as Selenium, TestNG or any API test automation framework.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or has certifications in computer programming
- Understanding of Agile processes, DevOps principles and CI/CD pipeline
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or any CI/CD tools
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure (or equivalent AWS/GCP)
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and with others.
- Detail oriented, analytical, and inquisitive and eager to learn & explore.
