Core Responsibilities
- Take ownership of your work and our systems as a whole.
- Design and execute scalable, low-latency, highly available, and highly-performant applications.
- Develop code that is reusable, efficient, testable, maintainable, and extensible.
- Work with the Product and Quantitative teams to understand requirements and translate them into high-quality code.
- Contribute during all phases of project lifecycle.
- Work as a team member in an Agile environment.
Required Qualifications
- College degree in computer science or a related discipline, or an equivalent level of technical knowledge required.
- Solid 3+ years experience in Python programming.
- Strong skills in both structural and OO programming, concepts, data structures, patterns, templates, concurrent (async/multithreaded/multiprocessor) programming.
- Experience in using Amazon Web Services SDK Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, Kinesis - in a Python environment.
- Familiarity with Pandas and NumPy.
- Good knowledge of databases, SQL, and exposure to NoSQL technologies.
- Experience with GIT.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to manage your time and tasks within a highly distributed development team without
- constant supervision.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment using SCRUM.
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Experience developing in C++, Java.
- Familiarity with LLM-powered systems
- Experience working in a financial trading, research, or asset management environment and the understanding of the principles of real-time data and historical analysis within those Environments
- Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE).
