Job Summary:
As a Python Developer, you will play a key role in building and enhancing payment gateway systems and UPI integration features for our product ecosystem. You will be responsible for writing clean, efficient, and scalable Python code to handle complex transactions, ensuring the security and reliability of our systems. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications, with a primary focus on payment gateway systems and UPI integration.
- Integrate various payment systems such as PayPal, Razorpay, Stripe, and UPI-based solutions into our platform.
- Write scalable, secure, and optimized Python code following best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, front-end developers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives, etc.) and follow Agile methodologies for continuous delivery and improvement.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of payment systems by implementing monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring high standards of software quality and security (compliance with PCI-DSS, encryption standards).
- Implement and maintain APIs for smooth integration with third-party systems.
- Test and deploy your code to production, ensuring that it meets the expected performance and security standards.
- Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks or security vulnerabilities in payment systems.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance product offerings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 4-8 years of experience in Python development, with a proven track record in building and deploying scalable systems.
- Strong experience in Payment Gateway Integration (e.g., PayPal, Razorpay, Stripe, etc.).
- Experience in UPI (Unified Payments Interface) Integration, with a good understanding of UPI APIs and protocols.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience in designing and integrating APIs.
- Proficiency with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong understanding of security protocols, including tokenization, encryption, and compliance standards such as PCI-DSS.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues with a focus on payment-related problems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with global teams in a remote work environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Google Pay, PhonePe, and other local or international UPI-based payment systems.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Exposure to microservices architecture and serverless computing.
- Prior experience in building high-traffic payment applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
