Job Description:

We are looking for a Purchase and stock Manager to oversee and manage the procurement and inventory control operations at True Fit Gourmet Cafe. This key role is responsible for ensuring that our cafe always has the necessary supplies, ingredients, and products to meet the demands of our customers. The Purchase & Stock Manager will play a crucial part in maintaining quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:


Procurement:Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate favorable terms, prices, and agreements.
Source and purchase high-quality ingredients, food products, and supplies.
Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery.

Inventory Management:Develop and implement effective inventory management systems.
Regularly update and maintain stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Conduct routine inventory audits to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.

Quality Control:Ensure that all incoming products meet quality standards and adhere to food safety regulations.
Monitor the freshness and shelf life of products, managing first-in, first-out (FIFO) procedures.

Cost Control:Optimize procurement processes to minimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
Analyze cost reports and identify opportunities for cost-saving measures.

Team Collaboration:Work closely with the kitchen and operational teams to understand their ingredient requirements.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to coordinate inventory needs and maintain a smooth supply chain.

Reporting:Generate regular reports on stock levels, procurement performance, and cost control for management review.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in procurement and inventory management, ideally in the food and beverage industry.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control processes.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
