Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Purchase Manager to join our team in the Sugar Industry. The ideal candidate should have 5-15 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management in the Indian market context. The candidate should be able to manage the procurement process, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's needs and objectives
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices, quality, and terms
- Manage the procurement process from order placement to delivery, ensuring timely delivery of goods
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and ensure supply chain efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices
- Monitor supplier performance and develop strong relationships with key suppliers
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality standards
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and new products
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 5-15 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management in the Indian market context
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of procurement software and tools
- Experience in the Sugar Industry is preferred
