Job Overview
We are looking for a Purchase Manager to join our team at GOOD FIVE YES JOB CONSULTANCY, a leading HR Consultancy providing IT/Non-IT job placement services in PAN India & Abroad. As a Purchase Manager, you will be responsible for managing the company's purchasing activities, ensuring optimal procurement and inventory management to support our operations. This is a full-time position based in Ambattur, Tamil Nadu, India.
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentaton related field
- Expected skill: Electrical Maintenance, Material costing, Machining cost study, coating materials quality and rate, sheet metal, special purpose machine assembly parts, SPM Automation are knowledge preferred
- Proven experience as a Purchase or Electrical Maintenance Manager or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of procurement strategies and best practices
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Roles And Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet the company's procurement needs
- Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships
- Monitor market trends and prices to ensure competitive procurement
- Review and analyze purchase requisitions, specifications, and financial reports
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Manage inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels for production and operations
- Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards
- Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities and performance
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in procurement practices
