Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Manager to oversee our procurement processes and ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. As a Purchase Manager, you will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor management, negotiation, and inventory control. This is a senior-level position requiring at least 7 to 10 years of experience in purchasing and procurement.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar procurement role in Pharma/Herbal Products/Cosmetics.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using procurement software and systems
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical procurement regulations and practices is a plus
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet the companys objectives
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and terms
- Monitor and analyze market trends, prices, and supplier performance
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure timely procurement of goods and services
- Manage the purchase order process, including supplier selection, pricing, and delivery
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and inventory levels
- Assess supplier performance and conduct periodic supplier evaluations
- Identify areas for cost savings and implement cost reduction initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements
