Description
We are looking for a Purchase Engineer with 0-3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in procurement and sourcing, with knowledge of supply chain management and vendor management. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities
- Will be responsible for purchasing materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms.
- Ensuring purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.
- Identifying new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team. Qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with Quality and Engineering specialists.
- Tracking goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensuring invoice processing.
- Overseeing supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolving performance issues
- Initiating purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the Purchase Requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures and confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring and tracking supplier performance to purchase order requirements.
- Aligning supplier orders with customer requirements (based on SAP)
- Conducting all Procurement & Logistics activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Coordinating with the various departments.
Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
- 1-4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Knowledge of supply chain management and vendor management
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other procurement software
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
