We are seeking an experienced Publisher to join our team. The Publisher will be responsible for overseeing the publication of books, magazines, and other printed materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the publishing industry in India and have experience managing a team of editors, designers, and production staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the publication of books, magazines, and other printed materials
- Develop and manage a team of editors, designers, and production staff
- Work with authors and agents to acquire new content for publication
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote published works
- Manage budgets and financial performance of publications
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Publishing, English, Journalism, or a related field
- 2-12 years of experience in the publishing industry in India
- Strong understanding of the Indian publishing market and trends
- Experience managing a team of editors, designers, and production staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of print production and design processes
