Job Brief:
As the PR Manager for our SaaS company focused on the freight forwarding and logistics industry, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive public relations and communication strategies. (Your role will be) pivotal in building our brand, establishing thought leadership, and driving awareness in the target market (nationally and internationally). Specifically, you will target talent, investors, customers, government agencies, industry publications, and network associations through targeted messaging, content marketing, media relations, and strategic partnerships. Your efforts will solidify Softlink Global's position as a logistics software leader.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement a comprehensive PR strategy to elevate Softlink Global's presence in the freight forwarding and logistics sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry-specific media outlets, reporters, and influencers. Pitch and secure media coverage seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media to gain attention from forwarding and logistics industry.
- Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media. Manage media inquiries and interview requests.
- Generate compelling and industry-relevant content, including press releases, articles, and blog posts, key note- presentation Ensure consistency in messaging.
- Develop and execute a crisis communication plan to manage and mitigate potential issues that may arise.
- Position company executives as industry thought leaders through by-lined articles, speaking engagements, and interviews.
- Organize and manage press conferences, webinars, forwarding & logistics industry events to launch new products or initiatives.
- Closely Co-ordinate with company's marketing team to ensure consistent messaging, brand presence, engagement of audiences, across traditional and new media (social) platform.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and consistency in communication strategies and messaging.
- Monitor and analyse PR metrics to gauge the effectiveness of campaigns on quarterly basis and adjust strategies as needed.
- Stay informed about competitors and market trends to maintain a competitive edge, evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis.
- Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding PR strategy surrounding them.
Requirements and Skills(Overall Experience 3-5 years):
- Experience/Understanding of Freight Forwarding or Logistics Industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or Marketing.
- Proven experience in PR, preferably in the software or tech industry, with an understanding of B2B.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong media relations and networking abilities with event planning experience.
- Proficiency in PR tools and analytics.
- Crisis management experience is a plus.
- Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews
- Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets.
