Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Account Director to join our team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing high-profile accounts and delivering exceptional results. The Account Director will lead client relationships, oversee the development and execution of PR campaigns, and ensure the highest level of client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic PR and marketing plans that align with client objectives and drive measurable results.
  • Campaign Oversight: Lead the creation and execution of integrated PR campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall client strategies and objectives.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor account teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
  • Media Relations: Oversee media relations efforts, including the development of media strategies, pitching stories, and securing coverage in top-tier outlets.
  • Performance Measurement: Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing clients with insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Crisis Management: Provide strategic counsel and support during crisis situations, helping clients navigate challenges and protect their reputations.
  • Business Development: Lead new business opportunities, contributing to the growth and success of Mavericks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in a PR agency or related field, with a proven track record of managing high-profile accounts and delivering results.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and pitch stories effectively.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute innovative PR strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Proven experience in media relations, with established relationships with top-tier media outlets.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with high organization and attention to detail.
