Agatsu Foundation is looking for applicants for a 1 year teaching internship leading to the possibility of full time employment.

Location: Bandra West, Mumbai.
Work hours: 8 hours (between 10am and 8pm), Wednesday to Sunday
Starting date: 3rd October, 2024
Stipend breakup (appraisal at every increment):
October 2024 to December 2024: Unpaid
January 2025 to March 2025: Rs.15,000
April 2025 to September 2025: Rs. 25,000
October 2025 onwards: Rs. 35,000 with a 7% yearly increment every financial year
Scope of Training and Work:
- Understanding the mental health landscape in India
- Training in psychodynamic therapy
- Training in HAP (Health Activity Programme by Sangath)
- Training in suicide prevention
- Training in child sexual abuse prevention
- Training and working as a Listener at Agatsu's Community Centre
- Knowledge of escalation protocols and referral procedures for Domestic Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Child Sexual Abuse, Substance Abuse, severe mental health disorders, etc.
- Exposure to various lived-experience sharing
- Understanding emotional hygiene and mental health from a preventative and integrated approach
- Working on and expanding Agatsu's mental health resource repository
- Seeing patients at Agatsu's Clinic after appropriate training and competency evaluation
- Attending mandatory supervision while seeing patients at Agatsu's Clinic.
Requirements:
- Masters in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology
- Undergo your own therapy (any evidence-based therapy of your choosing by any appropriately trained psychologist of your choosing). Agatsu will provide a reimbursement upto Rs.6000 per month for the same.
