Designation: Psychologist and Special Educator

At DeepRanjani Foundation, we're looking for a patient, resourceful, and resilient Psychologist and Special Educator.

Responsibility:

• Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine the needs of students with special needs.
• Diagnosis and Treatment: Make diagnoses and develop tailored treatment plans for students, including therapy, counseling, and behavior management interventions.
• Behavior Support: Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop behavior support plans and promote positive behavior change.
• Client Dealing: Front-end communication, and conducting the therapy sessions.
• Counselling: Provide counselling to the stakeholders and take care of the company's overall wellness.
• Individualized Education Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
• Consultation and Collaboration: Provide consultation and guidance to teachers, parents, and professionals, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate support and assistance during crisis situations and develop safety plans.
• Parent and Staff Training: Conduct training sessions and workshops for parents and staff on topics related to special needs education.
• Research and Evaluation: Engage in research and evaluation projects related to special education and the well-being of individuals with special needs.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Deliver direct instruction to students with special needs, utilizing suitable teaching materials and methods to optimize their learning experience.
• Evaluating students educational needs and progress, and modifying instructional strategies as needed to ensure their success.
• Submission of monthly/yearly reports of the students.
• Deliver direct instruction to students with special needs, utilizing suitable teaching materials and methods to optimize their learning experience.
• Implementing and supervising behavior management plans for students with challenging behaviors to promote a safe and conducive learning environment.
• Identifying any special needs of the students and referring them to relevant departments/services.
• Preservation & maintenance of the TLMs. If required making TLMs. Also, forward requirements, from time to time to designated departments following protocol.

Qualification:

• Master's in Psychology
• Must have experience working as a Psychologist or related field
• B. Ed. / Diploma in Special Education
• Valid state special education certificate
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role
• Good knowledge of current special education topics and methodologies
• Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities
• Ability to create IEPs
• Have a strong working knowledge of diagnostic techniques
• A patient, resourceful, and resilient personality
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to pass a thorough background check
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
