(PART TIME)A psychiatrist is responsible for providing psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients with mental health disorders. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. The Psychiatrist will also participate in clinical supervision, case conferences, and quality improvement activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health care.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, including medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, adjusting dosages and treatment regimens as necessary.
Provide psychotherapy or counseling services to patients, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) etc
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and case managers, to coordinate care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
Participate in clinical supervision and case conferences to review patient progress, discuss treatment strategies, and address any challenges or concerns.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and medication management.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance the delivery of mental health services and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Stay abreast of advances in the field of psychiatry through continuing education, professional development activities, and participation in relevant conferences or seminars.
DnB/MD Degree 10+ years of relevant experience from a premier institute- Valid medical license to practice Psychiatry in the state of employment.
Experience working in a mental health clinic or similar setting preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and promoting recovery-oriented practices.
Knowledge of evidence-based practices in psychiatry and familiarity with relevant treatment guidelines and protocols.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in patient care.
