What You Will Be Doing
As a Software Test Analyst II, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and upgrading manual or automated test scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools required to execute test plans. You will be closely working with the UK Client and help them achieve their Quality goals. You will be responsible for keeping Test Lead / Manager updated on tasks thus ensuring reporting remains current. You will have direct interaction with the Lead / Manager to assist in developing test plan including documenting testing strategy, supporting test execution, defining defect management process as well as assist with defect tracking.
- Understand functionality, core systems, and integration with 3rd party applications
- Review and analyze requirements specification to develop detailed test plans and test cases based on the requirements for new features
- Identify test conditions and create test designs, test cases, test procedure specifications and test data
- Collaborate with business users to develop regression and integration test suites
- Maintain Test Repositories with regular updates for any application change
- Execute and log the tests, evaluate the results and document problems found
- Report bugs and errors to development teams
- Help troubleshoot issues in the test environments
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the robust software testing practices
- Develop automated test scripts and perform automated test execution
What You Bring
- 6 to 10 years of experience in Software testing
- Good communication skills with the ability to confidently talk to all levels of project and client management
- Understanding of defined testing processes
- Willingness to learn new systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong experience in BFSI functional testing domain and writing Test Cases from BRDs / FSDs
- Knowledge of Investment Banking Capital Markets and/or Wealth Management domains
- Experience in Trading applications
- Experience in Database testing
- Experience in Web based application testing with complete architecture understanding
- Unix experience
- Experience in Test Automation using Selenium
- Agile methodology experience
- Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
