Posting Title: Program Manager , Patient Monitoring Front Line Care

Your Role at Baxter:

Baxter's patient monitoring portfolio represents a $260M business for Front Line Care. The products, used by clinicians in acute and ambulatory care settings globally, offer flexible solutions for both episodic and continuous monitoring workflows that measure pulse oximetry, non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP), temperature, and more. They provide wired and wireless EMR connectivity utilizing encryption to give caregivers protected access to real-time patient information, as well as compatibility with Active Directory and Single Sign On to provide quick and secure access for clinicians. Other features provided like cardiac assessment, early warning scores, and EtCO2 can help ensure the safety for higher risk patients by identifying patient deterioration.

Position Overview

As a Program Manager you will primarily be responsible for execution of projects/programs to deliver high quality outcomes to internal and/or external customers.

Responsible to report to leadership on burn down, scrum teams velocity against plan and feature point completion, work on process improvements to demonstrate continuous improvement, maintaining Scrum team performance scorecard.

Drives initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering function and interfaces with other functions to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional initiative coordination.

Be the champion of Agile principles and coach team in adhering the same. Work with peer network groups in collaborating and driving best practices in team.

Liaison to build a best in class Agile team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain project timelines and project resource plans
  • Work independently and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project meets organizational standards and customer needs
  • Collaborate with the team of engineers to build increment plan & track delivery
  • Identify and alert on any blockers or risk and propose solution to overcome and continue a smooth execution of the plan
  • Drive readiness for team to face audits both internal or external
  • Interact with stakeholders and resolve impediments
  • Demonstrate superior knowledge of software development life cycles to collaborate with Build and Release teams
  • Work with team members and provide subject matter expertise to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions during development & testing cycles
  • Contribute to testing if needed (based on bandwidth availability)

  • Drive for continual improvements (Process, Product, Quality,Metrics etc)

Qualifications / Experience and/or Background
  • Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline with 9 to 15 years of experience.
  • Minimum 7 years hands-on experience and worked as Program Management/ Scrum Master for complex projects in large organizations, preferably in a matrix global organization.
  • PMP Certification will be an added advantage.
  • Exposure to medical device or healthcare projects would be a definite plus with exposure to medical regulatory standards/processes related to FDA/ISO/IEC.
  • Strong visualization & reporting skills using latest project management & reporting tools.
  • Strong presentation skills and having had the exposure of reporting out project status to senior management.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication/influencing/negotiation skills required.
  • Demonstrated facilitation and negotiation skills in driving closure on product/program-related decisions/issues
  • Capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience.
  • Ability to influence outside the immediate scope of responsibility.
