- Must be a Result-oriented Professional with over 18 years of comprehensive experience in Construction Engineering & Project Management out of which at least 5 years should be in Water and Waste Water projects. Must have worked in Pan India Turnkey based contracts.
- Must be having 5 Years of experience as a Project Manager Post with leading Company in water Infrastructure.
- Proven track record of successful completion of projects from excavation to finishing as a Project Manager by developing positive rapport with architects, engineers, vendors & clients and controlling costs; flair for adopting modern construction methodologies / techniques in compliance with high quality & safety standards.
- Strong relationship management, communication skills with the ability to network with project members, client, consultants, contractors with consummate ease.
- Must be an Astute manager with a flair for adopting modern project execution methodologies, systems in compliance with quality standards. Expertise in swiftly ramping up projects with competent cross-functional skills and on time execution.
- Must be Skilled at preparing Construction Drawing for various projects and documenting estimates as per the budget. Expertise in creating designs & plans, layouts, working drawings and managing resources to ensure execution of projects.
SPECIFIC JOB DECSRIPTIONS
PROJECT PLANNING MANAGEMENT
- Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
- Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Provides guidance to Site Constriction Manager and on-site construction crews, reviews and administers contracts of subcontractors, communicates with inspectors and architects, meets with on site construction managers /site incharge and coordinates the delivery of materials from vendors.
- Confers with project staff to outline work plan and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
- Review's status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems. Provides reviews on construction drawings and leads the consultation with Government Clients for drawing approvals or modification drawings if needed.
- Profit & loss (P&L) responsibility: responsible for effective planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organizing, and decision making to attain desirable profit-making results for the company
- Generates reports that focus on project progress, job status, and costs.
- Act as an internal quality control check for the project
- Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution
- Assist in dispute, negotiation, arbitration or litigation as needed
- Monitor Staff performance and complete performance reviews
- Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organisation

VENDOR MANAGEMENT
- In coordination with the Procurement Manager,
- Collaborating with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of project equipment
- Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
- Obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
- Review and approve vendor payment certificates before it forwarding to the Account department for final review and release of payment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSBILITIES
- Directly and indirectly supervises employees in assigned project or projects
- Carries out supervisory and project management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, industry best practices, and as established by any applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees or vendors; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implements company and client health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) policy &procedures
- Ensures that cleanliness of project premises and equipment are maintained
- Ensures that Client, company and statutory food & hygiene standards are maintained on site
- Ensures that the team operates in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensures manual handling, PPE and chemical protocols are followed
- Ensures uniforms are clean and personal hygiene requirements are maintained by the team
- Investigates and assesses hazards, risks and incidents implementing the necessary procedures and policy
- Conducts regular checks of all equipment, reporting any faults as per the prescribed procedure
OPERATION MANAGEMENT
- Responsible for ensuring that contractual obligations held by the company are met on time and on budget
- Coordinates with Department Heads and schedules site visits and monitoring for all areas of operations
- Ensures that administration requirements are adhered to and reports are submitted on time as stipulated
- Takes an active interest in trends within the construction & realty industry and makes suggestions for improvements
STOCK CONTROLLING & MONITORING
- Ensures that the various sections are adequately stocked
- Ensures purchase orders are issued, and invoices checked against goods received addressing any discrepancy to the relevant parties
- Ensures that regular stock takes are conducted and inventoried against established, specific, requirements
FINANCE MANAGEMENT
- Responsible and accountable that the financial performance of the project is within budget
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding budgetary and agreed performance targets
- Develops improvement actions, carries out costs savings;
- Guards / controls costs and expenditure
- Prepares a monthly project progress report
- Resource allocation and Budget Management: responsible for the financial planning and monitoring of the Tender after Pre-Qualification and Contract Award. This should be done with forecasting and managing the scope of each project meticulously.
CLIENT MANAGEMENT
- Experience in nurturing a client contractor relationship throughout the course of a project, gaining their trust and confidence such that a long-term, multi-project relationship is established. Co-ordination with client within the contract for claims and realization of bills.
