Lead and manage New Product Development, Basic Development Projects from initiation through execution, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Coordinate cross-functional teams, including R&D, procurement, and operations, to achieve project objectives while adhering to safety and environmental standards. Oversee risk management, cost control, and resource allocation to optimize project outcomes. Foster strong stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment and communication throughout the project lifecycle. Continuously drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and project success.
Job description
Is responsible for fulfilling the project and product requirements basis on the Project Proposal. Familiarizes him/herself with the project s background, end effects and preconditions and comes to an agreement with the Project Sponsor about project scope, PRP Level 3, Budget Time plan etc. Formulates the project goals, objectives, exclusions, time plan & budget for the project in a Project Specification and a Project Plan, together with the members of the project team. Compiles the Project Description Summary (PD-S). Defines a suitable project organization, with Subproject Managers, and agrees with the resource owners regarding resources. Ensure prerequisites for achieving the end effects, when handing over the product. Plans, follows up and updates the resource requirement continuously to allow for good planning in the line organization. Motivates and supports colleagues in the team and secures support for the project in the organization. Manages the project using appropriate tools such as meetings, reviews etc. Handles risks in the project continuously through the project Keeps the Project Sponsor informed about the work progress and any deviations. Keep in touch with the internal result receiver and the project sponsor. Compile status report to the Project Sponsor and SRD R&D Manager. Is Responsible to project sponsor for achieving the project goals and objectives. Initiate project revision if needed. Hand over the result of the project to internal result receiver. Hold lessons learned and proposed work seminars and compile the project completion report. Appoint sub Project Managers when needed in respect to project size and complexity. Establish the necessary preconditions and tools for the job so that everybody in the project can work cooperate and communicate effectively. Take responsibility to follow the project process as described in the Epiroc SRD project manual. Project Budget Preparation & Support for Project Portfolio development. Educational requirements
Project Management experience of around 4 to 6 Years in Construction / Mining Equipment industry. PMP certification is an added advantage. M.E / M. Tech / B.E. / B. Tech d egree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from reputed institutions Knowledge & Experience requirements
Project Planning & Scheduling: Proficiency in developing project plans, timelines, and schedules. Budgeting & Cost Control : Strong experience in managing project budgets, forecasting costs, and implementing cost-saving strategies. : Skilled in identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing contingency plans. : Proven experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams, motivating them to achieve project goals. : Expertise in managing relationships with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and the community. Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance : Good understanding of safety regulations (OSHA, Mine Safety, etc.) and ensuring compliance with environmental standards and workplace safety protocols. : Good knowledge of construction or mining Machines, and industry standards. : Skilled in managing resources to optimize efficiency and meet project timelines. Problem-Solving & Decision-Making : Ability to troubleshoot issues, make data-driven decisions, and resolve conflicts quickly to minimize project delays. Quality Assurance & Control : Experience in ensuring project outputs meet or exceed quality standards through stringent quality control processes. : Proficiency in maintaining detailed project documentation, reports, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
