Job Summary:
The Project Manager (PM) will initiate the project and do the project planning, execution, control; and close the project, once all the identified and agreed scope of work is implemented and tested for quality. ERP Implementation is to execute the project and deliver the desired outcomes in an effective and profession manner, ensuring that the Institution's infrastructure and services are aligned with, and support, its strategic objectives. You should have8-12 years of experience implementing ERP systems, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate clearly with coworkers across an organization.
Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Project Manager for Microsoft D365 ERP cover a range of activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Planning and Design: Develop detailed project plans that outline key milestones, deadlines, and resource allocations. Oversee the design phase of the D365 ERP system to ensure it aligns with the organization's business processes and objectives.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including internal teams, external vendors, and consultants. Ensure clear communication of project goals, progress, and changes to all parties involved.
Resource Coordination and Management: Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure that the project remains within budget and on schedule. This includes scheduling team members, managing IT infrastructure needs, and overseeing the procurement of necessary software and hardware.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the project timeline and budget. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address risks proactively. Ensure a plan is in place for dealing with unforeseen complications in a timely manner.
Quality Assurance and Compliance: Monitor the quality of work and ensure that the D365 ERP implementation adheres to industry standards and compliance requirements. Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure all aspects of the project meet the necessary quality thresholds.
Revenue and collections: Coordinate with the account team at Grant Thornton to ensure the billing to the client as per the engagement letter and coordinate with the client single point of contact to ensure collections in line with the agreed payment terms.
Draft and submit periodic reports to management across the projects being managed by you.
Qualifications:
CA/ICWA or Graduation in Engineering (preferably mechanical, industrial engineering, or production engineering) but excluding computer science, information technology and information systems) from a premier institute. Postgraduate in management (with majors in finance, supply chain management, production, or operations) would be preferred.
Certification in Prince2, PMP, SAFE, or other project management tracks is desired.

Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative work environment even under pressure.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate and resolve conflicts. Proficient in engaging with both technical personnel and business leaders.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Capable of critical thinking and problem-solving to navigate the complexities and challenges of ERP implementation projects. Ability to use data and analytics to inform decisions.
Adaptability and Flexibility: Able to adapt to changing project requirements and business needs, managing multiple priorities without compromising on quality.
Risk Management: Skilled in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure steady progress and prevent disruptions.
Experience Level:
The candidate should have a total experience of 5-12years in project managing an implementation of a SaaS based ERP solution (Epicor, Infor LN, Microsoft D365, Oracle Fusion or SAP S/4 HANA) with a minimum of 2 end to end implementation projects (with the last 4 years) as a project manager. Prior experience of implementation of a global ERP system would be preferred.
