Position Purpose
In the context of a strategic transformation of the Compliance IT for BNPP, the Manager will be supervision several teams (Developers and Testers) for the Compliance IT team. He/she will be the single point of contact for Heads of Compliance IT and will ensure the proper efficiency of the activity supported by his/her teams. He/she will ensure the good level of quality and reporting of their activity.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- To be responsible for the overall team, ensuring that the team makeup is correct, and the team is skilled appropriately.
- To work with onshore stakeholders to define project scope, be responsible for project roadmaps and general project reporting to the business.
- To establish and maintain strong relationships with the overseas managers, sponsors, and internal counterparts.
- To work with onshore business analysts and programme managers to ensure local teams have a clear understanding of the work required of them.
- To provide regular feedback to the Head of Department on performance of individuals and teams and participate where appropriate in appraisals and performance management.
- To manage, motivate and drive specified project team/s to maximise available resources and ensure delivery meets deadlines within budget.
- Implement and enforce strong governance oversight and align with global governance framework.
- Ensure development teams are following current software development lifecycle best practices.
- Ensure development teams are delivering high performant, scalable and usable applications.
- Ensure development teams are delivering to schedule and manage appropriately.
- To ensure that delivery estimates are realistic, challenging when necessary.
- To work with teams to help solve complex technical problems.
- To coach and mentor team leads and technical architects.
- To be involved in support if a major problem in production arises
