Key Result Areas

Requirement Gathering

o Directly for small changes, and through external BA or functional consultants for larger modules

oConverting requirements into detailed task lists for developers

Project Management

o Driving sprints of project teams, doing daily stand-up meetings

o Monitoring and evaluating the performance of dev team members

oDev teams may be on contract with a vendor, or in-house employees

Incremental Upgrades and System Management

oInteracting with in-house users for getting acceptance of new releases

oManaging the release process for new releases, migrating systems to new versions

System Management

oCoordinating with Technical Architects and dev teams to clear roadblocks. These could arise due to development mistakes, genuine technical problems or confusion in the project roadmap.

oDriving resource augmentation: tracking needs for additional or replacement members, driving recruitment, evaluating new applicants, on-boarding new recruits

oCollaborating with tech teams and users for dissecting and analyzing bug reports

Skills and qualifications (describes the candidate)

Engineering/MCA degree from a reputed institute

Management degree desirable

• Total 10 + years experience of which 5+ years of experience in development of software systems
• 2+ years of experience in a non-programming role and managing team of developers
• Experience of working with Indian clients or end user teams

Knowledge of low level systems software, non-SQL databases, network protocols and application security is desirable, not mandatory

Good understanding of databases and software system design

• Programming language agnostic software maturity

Leadership skills: Ability to build and nurture a cohesive and motivated team

Communication Skills: Ability to influence and interact with multiple stakeholders
