REPORTS TO: MD & Country Director
LOCATION: Mumbai
Americares India Foundation shall be initiating a multistate project aimed To reduce the spread of antimicrobial resistance in health facilities and to promote overall infection prevention and control in mid-size hospitals. The three-year project will be implemented across 10 medium size hospitals across India and will aim to build a model for AMS at such institutes. To begin with we are looking to recruit a Project director for three-year period.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Director will be responsible for the overseeing the entire portfolio of the Antimicrobial Resistance Project and supervising all Project activities and ensuring quality implementation of the Project across ten hospital facilities. Responsibilities will also include oversight of infection prevention control (IPC) and antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) activities including training and capacity building, collaboration with multiple stakeholders and will be responsible for the overall delivery and implementation of the Project. The Project Director will report to the MD & Country Director in Mumbai. In addition to direct Project responsibilities, she/he will support Project teams on Project development, Project management, strategic planning and monitoring and evaluation. The candidate must have a strategic mindset as well as be able to lead and develop their subordinates.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Project teams in implementing hospital-based IPC and AMS baseline assessment
Assist Project managers in evaluation of baseline assessment and reporting to hospital leadership to identify key priorities for intervention
Work with Project teams on developing a facility specific action plan for implementation of IPC and AMS interventions
Oversee the implementation of collaborative, evidence-based training and capacity building
Ensure the quality of Project and deliverables as needed by the donor and various stakeholders involved
Assist with donor and internal reporting requirements
Assists in drafting reports; generate reports and presentations
Share best practices on project monitoring and evaluation
Assists in interpreting the results and impact of project activities, conveying that information to Project teams and senior leadership, and facilitating internal dissemination for critical Project and policy decision
Prepares materials for presentations and briefings and deliver formal and informal presentations, as assigned
Assists in the development of M&E guidance (tools, templates) to facilitate performance measurement
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills/Experience:
Health sciences graduate (MD/MBBS/Microbiology etc) and Master's Degree in Social Sciences/ Public Health with 10+ years of related work experience
Proven experience as Project director or other managerial position with NGOs or other organizations implementing health Projects
Experience with delivery and implementation of antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention and control Projects
Experience in metrics and measurement with respect to Project design and project implementation monitoring
Proven ability to work well with multiple stakeholders and diverse teams and to bring teams to consensus on recommendations for technical practices
Experience in health Project survey design and development
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel (with Macro), and PowerPoint
Excellent writing and communication skills
A commitment to excellence and demonstrated attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team, with balanced focus on personal accountability and team goals
Demonstrates initiative and follow-through and is self-motivated in the completion of deliverables in a dead-line driven environment
Experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative study analysis
