Job Description

Job Title: Project Engineer

Reports to: Project Manager

Industry - Electronic and Electromechanical components

Experience Required: 3-6 years

Notice period 30-60 days

Annual CTC: 4 to 8 LPA

Wrth Electronics focuses on providing a wide range of components including passive components (inductors, transformers, capacitors), printed circuit boards (PCBs), and power modules. The company serves a variety of industries, including automotive, industrial, consumer electronics, and renewable energy.

Job Responsibilities

Technical Project Management:

  • Assist in acquiring new projects and managing project turnover with new products.
  • Assess and manage technical project and product requirements, including special characteristics.
  • Support project documentation and technical product conception for project categories B-C-D-E-Q.
  • Collaborate on design for quality, cost, and manufacturing.

Project Development

  • Assist in the development of customized products according to agreed requirements.
  • Provide series support and manage project redesigns.
  • Help implement customer-specific product development for new projects and redesigns.
  • Contribute to designing/configuring technical solutions and developing customer-specific products.

Planning And Realization

  • Assist in creating project management plans, including QM plans.
  • Support milestone planning in projects.
  • Contribute to the assessment and management of technical project and product requirements.
  • Help guide technical requirements through the organization and implement agreed requirements in the final product.

Work Preparation

  • Assist in creating BOMs and production documents.
  • Help specify and order production tools and test equipment.

Project Management And Controlling

  • Assist in creating and managing milestone planning in coordination with customers.
  • Contribute to risk assessments for project and product requirements.
  • Support calculations for prototypes up to series production, including all non-recurrent and development costs as well as for serial products.
  • Help organize and hold project meetings and coordinate product qualifications.
  • Assist in sampling and releasing end products to customers.
  • Contribute to documenting project progress and transferring product manufacture to series production and project closing.

Support Serial Products (Repeaters)

  • Update product documentation according to current status (ULP data, BOM, production documents, etc.).
  • Help initialize material checks and update calculations.
  • Allow orders to be put in production.

Manage Reparation Of Units

  • Create articles and BOMs in ABAS.
  • Create calculations for reparation requests and allow orders to be put in production.

Project Documentation And Updates

  • Update project management plans, including QM plans.
  • Support the analysis of customer complaints and adjust project schedules as needed.
  • Implement product and BOM changes throughout the product lifecycle up to the end of life.

Lessons Learned

  • Contribute to inter-project exchanges on best practices and lessons learned in different areas of project management.

Key Figures

  • Service level, hit rate, quality, and productivity as defined by project management metrics.

Methods

  • Assist in obtaining, managing, assessing, and implementing project and product requirements.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, QM methods according to VDA, APQP, and IATF 16949:2016.
  • Support in product FMEA, special characteristics, manufacturability analysis, DFM, DFA, PPAP/PPF, 5W, and statistical methods.

Tools

  • Proficiency with ABAS, Babtec/QMS, Microsoft Office, Polarion, CAD/CAM Viewer, PDF tools, and blank forms and templates.

Communication

  • Maintain communication with customers throughout the product lifecycle until the end of life.
  • Collaborate with the Global Account Manager, Key Account Manager, and Sales Engineers with internal and external interfaces.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering or a similar field, supplemented by experience in project management.
  • Knowledge of current QM methods (QFD, FMEA, PPAP, PPF).
  • Specialist knowledge in printed circuit board technology and press-in technology is an advantage.
  • Proficient in English and knowledgeable in using PCs and MS-Office tools.
  • Experience with project and requirements management tools and ERP systems is desirable.
  • Additional internal training in quality methods and knowledge management specific to ICS.

Authority

  • Authority to assist and support the project team members in project-related tasks and activities.
