Main Accountabilities:

Hitachi Energy uses a very high-end system for its control, protection and monitoring. This system is called as MACH. This computerized system is built with the state-of-the-art electronics, microprocessors and digital signal processors, connected by high performance industry standard busses and fiber optic communication links.
Hitachi Energy PQS Electrical Engineering (EE) is responsible for the designing of MACH hardware control and Protection system, IED based Control & Protection system, Configuration & testing of Protection system, Auxiliary AC & DC system design including MV/LV Switch boards, Battery systems, UPS, Voltage stabilizers, LV Cable sizing and estimation & Interlocking systems
Roles and responsibilities:
As the PQS Electrical engineering (Secondary Design) is being continuously involved with great deal of Electrical, Domain expertise is required. Thus, the job description is as below.
Execute project within budget by meeting all KPI's (Quality, OTD, Efficiency, Budget)
Design & execute the project in line with customer specification / FACTS standard/Global standards Viz IEC, ANSI, IEEE etc.
Tender execution as per customer/FACTS requirement
Preparation of MACH based control and protection system cubicle design
Preparation of IED based control and protection system cubicle design
Preparation of FACTS Plant design drawings (Secondary)
Designing and estimation of Aux. AC & DC power requirements.
Designing of LV, MV Switch boards including battery systems, UPS and Voltage stabilizers
Estimation & Sizing of LV Aux. power, control cables, communication cables & Indication cables
Purchasing of cubicles, cables, Junction boxes, AC & DC switch boards, MV Switchgear, Battery system, UPS & Voltage stabilizers etc.
Co-ordination with other departments (Mech. / Control / System Design/Commissioning)
Validation of the time schedule (EE Dept.) for a project
Review and coordination with vendor/supplier drawings for Electrical deliverables including primary equipment
Evaluation of sub-supplier and selection as per project requirement
Supporting for configuration & testing of protection system
Involving in customer FAT, site installation and commissioning support
Involving in development and supporting activities for continuous process improvements
Preparation of As Built Drawings

Your background:
Should be a BE in Electrical Engineering
6 - 10 years of experience in Substation secondary/EPC design or project execution or HVDC control & protection hardware design
Strong experience and substation /EPC project execution or HVDC secondary project execution & Strong Experience in Control and Protection cubicle design
Experience in Detailed Design of plant Engineering & Works independently, applying established local & global standards
Experience in Electrical Grid Industry (Switchyard equipment) & Experience in E3 or Similar design tool handling
Experience in ETAP software for auxiliary system design, load flow analysis and short circuit study & Experience in Cable engineering
Team contributor using in-depth knowledge in a specific area to execute complex or specialized projects / challenges often thinking independently to challenge traditional solutions.
Comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines in the organization
Excellent English speaker, good communication skills & Dynamic and Proactive, willing to take the challenges and grow in the organization
Team player, ready to play the role across the different departments/countries
High level of ownership & accountability
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
