Project Coordinator - Plumbing and Firefighting
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager to oversee and manage plumbing and firefighting projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects within the specified timeframes and budgetary constraints. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing and firefighting systems, as well as exceptional project management and leadership abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines, in consultation with stakeholders and clients.
Resource Allocation: Determine the required resources, such as manpower, equipment, and materials, for each project phase and ensure their efficient allocation.
Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and take necessary actions to ensure projects are delivered within the approved financial parameters.
Project Execution: Coordinate and oversee the implementation of plumbing and firefighting systems, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that plumbing and firefighting installations meet the required standards and specifications.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Regularly assess project risks and take appropriate actions to minimize their impact on project timelines and deliverables.
Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure all parties are well-informed of project progress, changes, and requirements.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, including plumbers, firefighting technicians, and subcontractors, to ensure effective collaboration, productivity, and high-quality workmanship.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project schedules, progress reports, and change orders. Provide regular project updates to management and stakeholders.
Project Closeout: Conduct project closeout activities, including final inspections, client handover, and documentation of lessons learned.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a Project Manager in the plumbing and firefighting industry.
In-depth knowledge of plumbing and firefighting systems, codes, and regulations.
Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, and budgeting.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Sound understanding of construction industry practices and processes.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
