Position Overview:
The Project Co-ordinator is responsible for the co-ordination of electricity, gas, water and telecoms projects working closely with the project manager to ensure the successful delivery of schemes in a timely and accurate manner.
Role Responsibilities - What you'll be doing:
- Identify essential information required to initiate new connection applications for gas, electricity, and water.
- Determine the gas, electricity, sewer, and water networks based on a given site address and postcode.
- Submit applications to relevant networks for new gas, electricity, and water connections using client-provided information.
- Apply for STAT plans covering gas, electricity, water, sewer, telecoms, and TFL.
- Understand lead times for obtaining quotations for gas, electricity, water, and telecoms connections.
- Track delivery timelines for new connections in gas, electricity, water, and telecoms.
- Calculate the maximum demand of residential properties based on standard ADMD loads, with supervision.
- Identify the appropriate gas meter for installations based on client-provided load requirements, with supervision.
Supplier Management
- To interact professionally with suppliers to obtain information relevant to the project
- To chase suppliers for information/project deliverables etc in a professional manner
- To build strong supplier relationships
- To be able, with supervision, to identify potential new suppliers
- To be able, with supervision, to understand and keep up to date with supplier processes
- Co-operate with project manager working on the same account to ensure projects are delivered on time, managing suppliers in line with industry lead times and SLAs.
- Co-ordinate with suppliers and agents to ensure clarity on deliverables, costs and time scales while ensuring that these are met.
- To proactively identify where suppliers are not achieving SLAs and escalate accordingly
Account Management
- To interact professionally with clients and project stakeholders, managing their expectations in line with the project programme and associated risks whilst ensuring a positive experience.
- To answer calls in a professional manner and build rapport with key stakeholders
- To send professional emails in keeping with company standards
- To be able, with supervision, to handle difficult conversations within the context of the construction industry.
Commercial Awareness
- Have a good understanding of the ENERGeyes business model and the different services offered by the company
- Prepare project review packs in accordance with the company standards to ensure the projects are commercially viable
- If necessary, to escalate to line manager any correspondence that affects the commercial viability or risk profile of projects.
- Co-operate with project manager working on the same account to ensure projects are delivered on budget, ensuring any change of scope or additional work is flagged to the project to enable a variation to be raised.
Requirements - What we're looking for:
- Minimum 12 months of experience within the utilities sector
- NRSWA certification (desirable)
- Bachelor's degree (desirable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level preferred)
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Basic understanding of gas, electricity, and water utilities
- Foundational knowledge of telecoms, sewer systems, and traffic management (desirable)
- Familiarity with NJUG requirements (desirable)
- Understanding of electricity and gas metering (desirable)
Work Schedule
As the client is UK-based, you will be required to work in UK daytime:
- Monday to Friday
- 13:30 - 22:30 IST (08:00 am - 17:00 GMT)
