Project Associate - Low Emission Zone (LEZ) Implementation

About the Role
We are searching for a passionate and driven Project Associate to join our team
working on implementing Low Emission Zones (LEZs) in Indian cities. In this role,
you will play a vital role in supporting the development and execution of strategies to
reduce air pollution in urban areas.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct research and analysis on LEZ implementation in Indian and
international contexts.
2. Assist in developing LEZ policies and frameworks considering local needs
and challenges.
3. Support with stakeholder engagement, including government agencies, civil
society organizations, and the public.
4. Contribute to creating communication materials to raise awareness about
LEZs.
5. Assist with data collection and analysis related to air quality monitoring and
traffic management within LEZs.
6. Monitor and report on the progress of LEZ implementation projects.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Public Policy, or a
related field.
2. Proven experience working on environmental issues, preferably in air pollution
control.
3. Understanding of urban mobility challenges and policies.
4. Excellent research, data analysis, and communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills.
7. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data analysis tools (e.g., ArcGIS, R).
8. Hindi and English fluency is a must.
Desirable Skills
1. Experience working on LEZ projects in India or abroad.
2. Knowledge of government policies and regulations related to air quality and
transportation.
3. Experience in stakeholder engagement and public outreach.
4. Experience with GIS mapping and data visualization tools.
