We are looking for a highly motivated and organized programmer to join our team. As the world's premier vendor of forward-looking, date-related financial data, we are a globally-minded company with offices in New York, London, Delhi, and Manila.

Objective: To help us upgrade and expand our internal software, which is essential to our goal of helping customers anticipate the future via the most accurate and reliable data humanly possible.

Our software comprises a core function library written in C++ that is both an Automation Add-in library for Excel and a COM object library to be used from VBA. There are also a number of standalone applications written in C++ which make no reference to Excel.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Develop and write the necessary code, primarily in C++, to enhance our software
  • Run suitable tests to spot and resolve bugs and inconsistencies
  • Write code for patches and bug fixes
  • Work with team members to find creative, innovative solutions to problems
  • Collaborate with users to understand their needs and devise ways to help them

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience in a computer programming role
  • A thorough working knowledge and understanding of C++, COM and VBA
  • A track record of successfully creating projects using these environments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot tiny errors or inconsistencies in code
  • Excellent creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a team
  • Able to debug/code difficult problems using C++
  • Knowledge of other programming languages is helpful
  • Up to date on the latest software innovations and committed to continually building on existing knowledge and skills
  • Exemplify superior time management skills and capable of working productively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to follow directions closely and reliably
  • A desire to innovate and create cutting edge tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline
