The Program Manager Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) will be instrumental in assessing the effectiveness and impact of Selco Foundation s programs. The role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in designing and implementing M&E frameworks, data management, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Roles And Responsibilities
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Develop and manage M&E systems to monitor project/program results at different levels (outputs, outcomes, and impact).
- Revise and manage M&E tools and methodologies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and donor requirements.
- Establish M&E protocols and guide program teams on effective implementation.
- Design and lead research studies, baseline, midline, and endline surveys using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Determine sample sizes for evaluation studies based on statistical rigor.
- Develop and standardize survey instruments and data collection tools in collaboration with program teams.
- Conduct data analysis, interpret findings, and provide actionable recommendations to improve program outcomes.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on program performance, outcomes, and impact.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting as per project schedules and requirements.
- Manage and update the M&E dashboard and data entry platforms.
- Document best practices, lessons learned, and impact stories for dissemination.
Capacity Building and Collaboration:
- Enhance the M&E skills of internal teams and promote effective data management and utilization for decision-making.
- Collaborate with program managers and team leads to ensure M&E plans and activities are integrated into project implementation and evaluation.
- Foster a culture of learning and knowledge sharing among teams, promoting evidence-based practices and continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in M&E processes and systems.
- Propose and implement enhancements based on feedback and evaluation findings.
Compliance and Ethical Standards:
- Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements in handling sensitive data.
- Ensure compliance with donor and organizational guidelines and standards.
Qualifications and Experience: - Education: masters degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field with a focus on research methodologies and statistical analysis.
- Experience: 8-10 years of progressive experience in M&E within the social development sector, ideally in renewable energy or related fields.
Skills:
- Proven track record in designing and managing M&E systems, conducting impact evaluations, and using data for decision-making.
- Expertise in statistical analysis, sampling methodologies, and proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (eg, SPSS, R, Stata) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional proficiency in Indian languages (eg, Hindi, Kannada, Odiya, Assamese, Manipuri) is desirable.
