- Organisation vision is to establish a model for transforming the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) landscape in India to ensure that all 3 to 6-year-old children achieve age-appropriate child development outcomes, enabling them to achieve their full potential, taking advantage of education and other opportunities in the future
- The organisation ECCE programme thus aims to improve pre-school education of 3 to 6-year-old children across India, with a focus on those from low income and marginalized communities by 2030, aligned with the vision of National Education Policy 2020 and thus contributing to the national priority of achieving Quality Education (SDG 4)
Roles & Responsibility
-Develop and articulate a strategic vision for ECCE programs, aligning with organizational goals and priorities.
-Provide leadership and guidance to the ECCE team, ensuring a cohesive and collaborative work environment.
-Lead the design and development of innovative and evidence-based ECCE programs.
-Collaborate with subject matter experts, educators, and stakeholders to ensure program effectiveness.
-Manage the budget for ECCE programs, ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet the program goals.
-Monitor expenses and financial performance, making recommendations for optimization.
-Integrate new findings and technologies to enhance the quality and relevance of ECCE programs.
-Stay abreast of research, trends, and innovations in early childhood education
Stakeholder Management
1. Foster stronger relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies,
educational institutions and community partners.
2. Collaborate with external partners to enhance the impact and reach of ECCE Programs.
3. Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of professionals dedicated to ECCE program success.
4. Provide ongoing support, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
Advocacy and Public Relations:
1. Represent the organization in public forums and advocate for the importance of ECCE.
2. Build positive relationships with policymakers, and the community to enhance program visibility
Key Stakeholders/ Collaborators
-District and block officials of Department of Women and Child Development (WCD) and -Education District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs)
-NGOs working with young children in the district
-Field implementation partner(s)
Education Qualification
-Minimum 10 years of experience with a masters degree in Early Childhood Education, -Education Administration, or a related field.
-Proven leadership experience in managing and developing comprehensive educational -programs, preferably in ECCE.
-Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
-Familiarity with local and national regulations related to ECCE
