- Developing/Updating Guidelines and Tools for Close accompaniment and mainstreaming of Volunteering policy
- Generate appropriate volunteering opportunities and role descriptions based on the needs of the organisation.
- Development of volunteer engagement plan with Caritas India
- Managing the Software development on volunteer tracking and other indicators
- Maintain volunteer databases and undertake any other administrative duties.
- Organize Orientation/ workshop and Training for CI staff on Volunteering as per requirement.
- Facilitate CI Thematic teams/Programme Lead with Volunteering mainstreaming as and when required.
Volunteer Engagement
- Promote volunteering through enrolment drive and publicity strategies and campaigns
- Enrol volunteers and ensure they are appropriately matched and trained for the role being undertaken by the volunteers
- Organise inductions, training and regular meetings for/with volunteers
- Create state level volunteer groups and leaders to facilitate state specific volunteering initiatives
- Monitor, support, motivate and accredit volunteers and their work
- Offer advice and information to volunteers and external supporting organisations through face-to-face, telephone and email contact
- Organise profile-raising events to attract new volunteers
Visibility Recognition of Caritas India Volunteering
- Monitor, support, motivate and accredit volunteers and their work
- Celebrate volunteering by nominating volunteers for awards and organise celebration events
- Producing Visibility Materials for volunteers
- Promoting visibility of Caritas India volunteering (online offline)
Documentation:
- Drafting of all events / Trainings / workshops / meeting reports/minutes.
- Support in the creation of learning documents.
- Submit abstract for Volunteering events for visibility.
- Financial and Donor Reporting about Volunteering activities as on when required.
Concept/Proposal MEAL
- Take part in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning exercise for improving Volunteering Engagement Plan implementation for further learning as guided by the Reporting Authorities.
- Actively support, in developing new concepts, programme proposal for Strategic Team
- Engaging in conferences and workshops to bring visibility to the Volunteering efforts of CI.
PARTNERSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Support in maintaining good relationship with selected partners and collaboration through close accompaniment.
- Assist in building the perspectives and capacities with partner organizations to understand and render support to design, develop and implement volunteering program within the organization.
- Work with multiple agencies across different sectors to establish good working relationships to influence decisions about volunteering.
- Value addition of perspectives and analysis into concepts/proposals/events modules as and when required.
- Support in Mobilize resources- human and finance where required.
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT
- Building and participating in knowledge platforms; dissemination of lessons learned in Volunteering implementation, experience gained, new insights received for building knowledge base within CI.
- Mobilization of knowledge, information related to Volunteering and document the same for organization s consumption and dissemination.
- Mobilization / dissemination of good practices emerged from close accompaniment for visibility, motivation and adoption by other local partners
