- As a Program Associate, you will be a key member of Spruha - our skill development and transition program for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting placement training/Job readiness sessions for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities
- Monitoring the day to day functioning of Level 1 and 2 of the Spruha program
- Reviewing the existing curriculum, resources, periodically adding new ones and coming up with new and innovative methods of teaching
- Collaborate for research work and help in writing research papers
- Get periodic feedback from educators about on-going sessions for each of the student & monitor the progress
- Collaborate with members from other organizations for on-going projects & work towards new collaborations & engagements
- Conduct parent/educator meetings and work towards strategies for the overall development of the individual
- Post-placement support to individuals once they get selected for internship programs / full-time job opportunities
- You will be conducting training programs, workshops to companies and other organizations
- You will handle a few remedial 1:1 cases (Training, IEP s, reports)
The ideal candidate would have:
- 1-2 years of teaching experience as a special educator
- Great communication & interpersonal skills
- Good multi-tasking abilities & organizational skills
- A patient listener & problem solver
- A genuine urge & enthusiasm to empower individuals & help them be the best version of themselves
