Responsibilities:

• Academic Leadership:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive academic vision for the Computer Science program, aligning with the school's strategic goals.
• Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of the Computer Science curriculum.
• Ensure the quality and relevance of academic programs, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional development offerings.
• Foster a culture of academic excellence and innovation among faculty and students.
• Faculty Development:
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty members to ensure a high-quality teaching and research faculty.
• Support faculty development initiatives, including professional development opportunities and research mentoring.
• Promote faculty scholarship and publication in top-tier journals and conferences.
• Student Success:
• Oversee student advising and academic support services.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students.
• Promote student engagement in research, extracurricular activities, and professional development.
• Curriculum Development:
• Oversee the development and revision of the Computer Science curriculum to meet evolving industry needs and accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to develop new courses and programs.
• Ensure the curriculum is aligned with best practices in computer science education.
• Administrative Leadership:
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Computer Science program, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with other academic units and administrative departments to ensure smooth program operations.
• Represent the Computer Science program on university committees and councils.
