The Production Process Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing Electronic manufacturing processes specially for the product Battery management system(BMS), Electric vehicle charger, IOT and so on and ensuring quality. This role involves working closely with various departments, including R&D, quality assurance, and production, to develop efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, information, and energy to produce a product or service.
- Process Design and Optimization:
Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start-up and certification.
Analyze and optimize electrical manufacturing processes and systems to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
Design and implement systems to automate processes and reduce manual work. Conduct process simulations and risk assessments.
Document manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions to ensure consistency, repeatability, and adherence to quality standards. Train production operators on proper assembly techniques, quality requirements, and safety protocols.
- 2. Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect and analyze data to understand process performance and identify areas for improvement.
Generate process documentation and reports.
Establish and enforce quality control standards.
Work with quality assurance teams to identify and address defects and deviations in the manufacturing process.
- 4. Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of production equipment. Develop and publish comprehensive troubleshooting documents for FCT and PDI Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or replacements Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
Ensure all testing fixtures (Functional circuit testing, In circuit testing, Pre dispatch inspection and many other ) are fully functional and properly maintained at all Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) locations
- 5. .Continuous Improvement:
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Develop and execute action plans to solve process-related issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and quality control to ensure smooth workflow and process improvements.
Communicate effectively with management to report progress and propose improvements.
- 7. Compliance and Safety:
Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Develop and maintain safety protocols to protect workers and ensure a safe working environment.
- 8. Supply Chain Coordination:
Work in tandem with procurement and supply chain teams to manage the timely procurement and delivery of electrical components and materials required for manufacturing. Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier partnerships.
- Required Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, or related field)..
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in an electronic manufacturing unit or production engineering role.
Proven experience in process optimization, quality control, and continuous improvement.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and control systems.
Complete understanding of all the production document (PFD, Control plan, PFMEA and Papp)
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
