Main Duties & Responsibilities
Production Design Understanding
Coordinating with design team for receipt of drawing
Studying the design for production feasibility
Communicating with design team for any modifications
Communicating with design team for any technical support required for suppliers
Material Procurement
Identifying material requirements as per design
Raising PRNs to store
Follow up with Store for PRN
Coordinating with store to ensure receipt of material as per stages of production
Planning of dispatch for parts to be sent for machining
Coordinating with vendors for receipt of machined parts on time
Production Planning, Monitoring & Reporting
Preparing daily, weekly, monthly production schedule
Estimate manpower requirements to execute the job
Estimate material requirements to execute the job
Ascertaining timelines to complete the job
Establishing priorities of jobs
Monitoring progress; revising schedules; as per requirements
Reporting on daily basis regarding progress of production schedule
Preparing daily planning sheet, process sheet, daily reports, material sheet
Reports for weekly/ monthly/ quarterly/ yearly meetings
Discuss production priorities with Supervisors
Check progress and trouble shoot obstacles
Help Supervisors in solving Laboure issues
Inspection & Testing
Ensuring products are tested for quality before handing over to the inspection team
Coordinating and cooperating with Inspection team, Inspectors, customers for stage wise inspection
Coordinating with clients for client inspection
Checking final finishing s before dispatch
Despatch
Coordinating with despatch team for despatch of materials
Maintenance
Ensuring all plant equipments are functioning correctly and are maintained as per maintenance schedule
Ensuring all administrative activities of the factory in terms of repairs, hygiene and new projects of renovation run smoothly
Team Management
Ensuring production is functioning smoothly
Monitoring activities of the team and all SOPs are implemented correctly
Ensuring that enough people are available in the team for smooth functioning of the plants
Acting as the spokesperson of the team
Coordinating with HR for any employee development initiatives
Evaluating team performance
Suggesting newer initiatives to HR for team development
Participating in selection interviews
Orienting and training new joinees in the department
