Job Overview:The Production Planner will be responsible for coordinating and planning the manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production of women's footwear. This role requires strong organizational skills, an ability to forecast demand, and experience in the footwear or fashion industry. The ideal candidate will be able to balance production efficiency with quality control, ensuring timely delivery of products to meet market demand.
Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Coordinate with the design, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to plan production based on sales forecasts and inventory levels.
Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to schedules, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.- Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve production efficiency.
Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.- Prepare and present reports on production performance, including efficiency, output, and cost metrics.
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Liaise with the quality control team to ensure finished products meet quality standards.
Assist in the development and implementation of production policies and procedures.
Proven experience as a Production Planner, preferably in the footwear or fashion industry.- Strong understanding of production planning principles, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in using production planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
