Proven experience as a Production Manager in the textile industry, preferably with
Experience In Grey Fabric Production
Responsibility Area
Production Planning
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet business demands and customer requirements.
- Ensure optimal utilization of plant resources, including labor, machinery, and materials.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the timely availability of raw materials.
Operations Management
- Oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to production plans and targets.
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness
Quality Control
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
- Address and resolve any production issues related to quality defects.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and manage production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and performance updates
Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
- Address any safety concerns promptly and effectively.
Maintenance Coordination
- Work with the maintenance team to ensure all machinery and equipment are in good working condition.
- Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Coordinate with the inventory team to manage stock levels and reorder as necessary
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare regular reports on production performance.
- Analyse production data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Cost Management
Control production costs by optimizing resource usage and minimizing waste. Prepare and manage the production budget.
