Production Manager - Interior Designs

We are seeking a dynamic Production Manager with expertise in the interior design industry to oversee the end-to-end production process for custom furniture, modular interiors, and bespoke design elements. The ideal candidate will manage the production team, ensure timely project delivery, maintain quality standards, and coordinate between design, procurement, and installation teams to ensure seamless execution of client projects.

• Develop detailed production schedules based on project timelines and client requirements.
• Allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and tools, to ensure smooth production workflows.
• Coordinate with the design team to understand project specifications and translate them into actionable production plans.

• Lead and manage production staff, including carpenters, fabricators, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project updates, deadlines, and priorities.
• Train and mentor production staff to maintain high skill levels and motivation.

• Ensure all products meet company and client quality standards, including attention to materials, finishes, and structural integrity.
• Conduct regular quality inspections during and after production to identify and resolve issues.
• Work closely with the design and procurement teams to source materials that meet design and quality expectations.

• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and place timely orders to avoid delays in production.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to source materials, fixtures, and finishes at competitive prices without compromising quality.

• Liaise with external vendors and subcontractors for specialized components or services.
• Ensure subcontractors adhere to project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.

• Coordinate with project managers, designers, and installers to ensure timely delivery of production items to project sites.
• Address any on-site issues related to production or installation.
• Oversee the transportation and installation of large furniture, fixtures, and modular units, ensuring minimal damage and maximum efficiency.

• Troubleshoot production delays or issues and implement corrective measures promptly.
• Analyze production workflows and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to innovate production processes.

• Maintain accurate records of production schedules, progress, costs, and materials used.
• Prepare production reports and updates for senior management and stakeholders.
• Track and monitor KPIs such as production efficiency, defect rates, and on-time delivery.

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in production management, preferably in the interior design industry.

• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and design tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, carpentry, and fabrication techniques used in interior design.
• Familiarity with production machinery and tools used in furniture and interior fit-out production.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
