Position Overview:
As a Production Manager Engineer, will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the production process to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products/services while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing day-to-day production operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation, to meet production targets and customer demand.
- Developing and implementing production plans, workflows, and procedures to optimize efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce costs.
- Leading and motivating a team of production supervisors and operators to achieve performance goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Monitoring production processes and implementing process improvements to enhance quality, productivity, and safety.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain, to address production-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyzing production data and performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production performance and drive accountability.
- Providing leadership and guidance during audits, inspections, and customer visits to ensure compliance and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Implementing training programs and conducting performance reviews to develop and retain talent within the production team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in production management within [industry or sector].
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve performance goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with production planning and scheduling software (e.g., ERP systems, MRP systems).
- Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management).
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
