We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our frozen food, spices, or prepared food production facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in production processes, inventory control, and food safety standards, with a focus on improving efficiency, maintaining quality, and ensuring timely production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage the production processes in the frozen food, spices, or prepared food sector to ensure smooth workflow and optimal output.
- Oversee production schedules and ensure the timely and accurate manufacturing of goods while meeting quality standards.
- Implement and monitor adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations (such as FSSAI, FDA, HACCP, or other relevant local and international standards).
- Manage and lead a team of production staff to maintain high levels of productivity and morale.
- Monitor and control production costs, ensuring budget adherence and minimizing waste.
- Ensure preventive maintenance and repair of production equipment to avoid disruptions.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and quality control teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations and material availability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the production facility.
- Develop training programs for production staff to enhance skills and maintain safety standards.
- Analyze production data and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Key Skills & Competencies:
- Proven experience (6-7 years) in production management, specifically in the frozen food, spices, or prepared food industry.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology in the food industry.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, FDA, etc.).
- Experience in handling production scheduling, cost control, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a strong ability to motivate staff.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot production issues.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using production management software and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Certification in food safety management (HACCP, FSSAI) is preferred.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale production units in the food industry.
