Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing costs.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
- Analyze production data and metrics to track performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate supply of raw materials and components.
- Develop and implement initiatives to reduce waste, minimize downtime, and optimize production output.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on production performance, issues, and opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a production management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
- Solid problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
- Proficiency in using production planning and scheduling software.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data and make sound judgments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
