Job Tittle : Production Engineer

Responsibilities:
1. Process Planning and Improvement:
- Carry out all tasks following the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle to ensure quality and continuous improvement.
2. Order and Document Management:
- Receive Sales Orders and customer-approved drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), and Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) from the Business Development (BDE) team.
3. Production Planning:
- Plan each step of the manufacturing process to meet delivery deadlines, based on raw material availability.
- Check the store for required materials per the BOM and prepare purchase requests for missing items. Track that all materials arrive on time.
4. Material Coordination:
- Request materials for production from the Store Team as needed for each order.
- Receive materials from the Store Team and ensure they are checked by the Quality Control (QC) team before manufacturing starts.
5. Manufacturing Execution:
- Carry out each production stage as per the plan from the Planning Team.
- Notify the QC team for inspections at each stage per the approved QAP, and proceed only if QC approves.
- If QC rejects any material, make necessary corrections.
6. Final Manufacturing and Quality Checks:
- Complete the final manufacturing stage with all previous inspections approved by QC.
- Arrange for a final inspection by QC and any third-party inspection agency, as required.
7. Dispatch Readiness:
- Ensure all production and quality checks are completed, and the material is ready for packing and dispatch.
- Notify the BDE team that the order is ready for dispatch.
- Monitor delivery timelines, identify any delays, determine root causes, and take corrective actions to prevent future delays.
8. Issue Resolution:
- If material is rejected by QC or third-party inspection, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Continuously monitor the production process, address any deviations from the plan, and take immediate steps to correct them.
9. Resource Utilization:
- Optimize use of manpower and machinery to prioritize tasks according to the production plan.
10. Inventory and Stock Management:
- Review inventory of critical materials and decide if short-stocked materials need immediate purchasing or can be bought in larger quantities later for cost savings.
11. Machinery Maintenance:
- Maintain an updated list of machinery and create a schedule for periodic maintenance.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, manage machinery breakdowns, identify causes, make corrections, and implement actions to prevent future breakdowns.
This role ensures that production processes run smoothly, materials and inspections are well-coordinated, and that all quality and delivery standards are met.
