Job Description:
Expected Skills/ Competency/JD
Product Owner having in-depth knowledge of Underwriting, Risk ratings, commission/ payments in P&C and Health Insurance domain.
- Having exposure to product life cycle management,
- Understanding of Insurance business processes
- Product Planning and Road mapping:
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap, outlining feature prioritization and release timelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize features based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including software development, UX/UI design, marketing, sales, and operations, to deliver high-quality insurance products and services.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the product lifecycle.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to product performance, customer satisfaction, and market share.
- Analyse data and feedback to identify opportunities for product optimization, feature enhancements, and process improvements.
- Understanding of the Waterfall, Agile and scrum methodologies
- Understanding and exposure in documentation of requirement, preparing BRD, use cases, user
- stories etc.,
- Experience in functional testing
- Good analytical, documentation and communication skills
Must have Skill set
- Experience as a Product Owner in Insurance Industry
- Experience in P&C and Health Insurance
- Experience of working in a Broking Platform like Applied EPIC, SAIBA, Broker One, Vertafore AMS360 etc
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Computer Science, or related field.
- Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPCU, AINS, Agile certifications) are a plus.
- Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in insurance, such as Insurtech, AI, and IoT, and their potential impact on product innovation and customer experience
