nJob Description:
nSummary:
nThis position involves owning the engineering Agile process as well as representing the product owner on one or more Agile SCRUM teams. Key activities involve defining, implementing and driving agile practices, interacting with key stakeholders, creating functional and nonfunctional requirements, and establishing the project vision and scope.
nJob Responsibilities:
- nBe the liaison between the business unit teams and development/technology teams
- nResponsible for developing functional requirements and related business rules based on customers (internal and external) needs.
- nFacilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team.
- nCollaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
- nWork closely with key business partners and subject matter experts in the definition, testing, training, implementation, and support of functional requirements.
- nIdentify requirements via industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, workflow analysis, and functional decomposition analysis. Solicit requirements through 1-1s, workshops, and/or existing systems documentation or procedures.
- nDevelop and analyses functional and non-functional requirements for technology solutions with stakeholders according to Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and internal standards to ensure business needs are well understood, clearly defined, and properly aligned with overall product scope.
- nCritically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, convert high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- nDrive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans and understand both the explicit and the implicit requirements.
- nServes as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team, a conduit through which requirements flow.
- nDevelop functional requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language and user stories.
- nWork towards ensuring the Product Roadmap is available for at least one year down the line.
- nBe able to effectively understand business priorities and requirements and create the needed Epics, Features and User Story(s).
- nDrive the refinement sessions to groom the User Story(s) with the scrum team.
- nGain in-depth knowledge of the product, all functional workflows, pain points for the end-users.
- nEnsure the Development/technology team, at any given time, is working on the most important work items which is aligned with the Business priorities.
nQualifications and Skills:
- n5+ experience working as a Product owner or Scrum master on enterprise-level software products/applications.
- nRequires a Bachelors degree (e.g., B.Sc., B.Tech), good to have a Masters degree.
- nAbility to understand software development framework, architecture concepts and terminology.
- nDesire to work closely with Technical/Engineering teams (No need for Programming/Coding but would be helpful to have this knowledge while interfacing with technical teams).
- nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
- nAbility to multi-task and work in separate projects in a fast paced & dynamic environment and tight timelines.
- nStrong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret user needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- nExperience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required.
- nA passion for delivering customer-centric products/services, be able to understand pain-points of the customers and shape the Product backlog to address those points.
- nAbility to work independently or as part of a team.
- nExperience working with Java and AI based Product development
