Strategy
- In Standard Chartered Bank's Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB), we aim to be digital-first and data-driven, delivering enhanced client experiences, driving new wallet share and realizing untapped client value and market opportunities.
- Part of CIB's Digital Channels & Data Analytics (DCDA), we are building a complete end to end, digital first client journey from onboarding, transacting to servicing and reporting. We are passionate about developing and delivering Best in Class digital client experience, delivered through consistent, well designed, contextual user journeys across web, desktop and mobile.
- As Product Owner you will be responsible for helping shape and deliver the product strategy and roadmap. You will be tasked in executing the roadmap through disciplined product development, ensuring delivery, collaboration, and alignment with CIB business and technology partners.
Business
- Align with the business heads to understand their vision and strategy.
- Work with Product Owners throughout the DCDA team as well as colleagues from Design, Insights, Data and Technology to devise creative solutions that address our client's needs.
- Help prioritise and deliver these solutions according to Agile practises.
- Help monitor success and iterate where necessary.
Processes
- Work with the business users to capture, analyse and prioritize business requirements in harmony with existing Straight2Bank NextGen cash functionalities.
- Translate business needs into technical user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams; need to have a good understanding of the various systems interfaces.
- Hands-on experience in requirements life cycle management in banking and financial domain. Should be able to manage requirements from inception to implementation across multiple systems interfaces.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across product owners, technology, risk partners, TB cash product owners to develop the identified solutions and ensure alignment on priorities and timely delivery of initiatives.
- Ensure gaps in deliverables are identified early and addressed effectively.
- Should be well-experienced in Business Analysis Planning and Monitoring, and independently describe the tasks used to organize and coordinate business analysis efforts.
- Over-see and steer time, cost, and quality of over-all solutions. Work with delivery and project services organizations as well as other technology and vendor organizations in ensuring requirements are transformed into effective solutions with-in cost, schedule, and quality - adhering to the bank's standards, guidelines, and policies.
- Data quality and payment transparency related assessment and solutioning for the cash management business,
- Ongoing reporting obligations from a digital channels perspective to various regulators such as Federal Bureau Reserve, Financial Conduct Authority, in partnership with respective risk owners of the bank as well as TB cash product owners
- Perform Annual/semi-annual lookbacks and root-cause analysis of risk related issues associated with cash channels.
- Maintenance and management of critical date element lineages to the relevant upstream / downstream applications such as VolPay, Client administration and entitlement systems, respective cash transaction processing systems in consultation with respective TB cash product owners, risk owners (first, second and third line) as well as CFCC officer.
Risk Management
- Adherence to all Group Policies and relevant legislation covering credit, operational, reputational risk among others across all asset classes and associated post-trade processes.
- Commitment and adherence to Group Code of Conduct
- Ensure product development aligns to internal governance frameworks that sets out the requirements for the design, implementation, and maintenance of data solutions.
- Where material changes are made to existing data solutions, ensure compliance to process change impact assessment and technology change impact assessments are completed.

- Contributes to the assessment of the Group's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight, and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
- Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
- Willingness to speak up in the event of any realized or perceived breach of group conduct rules or laws by colleagues.
- Willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.
